Participating in countless tradeshows, customer demos and in house trainings, I noticed questions resonating about proper maintenance of direct to garment printers.  Customers see the great advantages and benefits of direct to garment technology but may be a bit hesitant, due to the inferior garment printers on the market lacking simple and effective maintenance features.  We completely understand their position, realistically speaking, why would you want to buy a direct to garment printer without advanced features that preserve and maintain the printer and print head?

Normally, and with all other direct to garment printers on the market, after printing, the print head is left as is, without further preservation. Unfortunately, this can lead to damage and clogging, costing a pretty penny in repairs and replacements. Sure you can run the cleaning cycle or cartridge over and over, as other printer models will require you to do, but that just wastes ink and money, ultimately diminishing the cost benefits of operating a direct to garment printer.

This is why we created the WetCap feature found exclusively on the FreeJet 320 TX. The WetCap feature is designed to maintain and preserve the life of the print head. This exclusive feature creates an air tight protective enclosure for the print head, shielding it from the elements and safeguarding against clogging. Additionally the WetCap feature keeps the pumps and waste system clean too!

How the WetCap works:  After you’re done printing, press the WetCap button located on the side of the FreeJet 320 TX. The WetCap mechanism inserts special cleaning liquid in to the enclosure designed to close off the print head, and seals it, preventing costly clogging and irreparable damage. The WetCap function protects the print head till next startup, eliminating any maintenance issues. The WetCap feature, found on the FreeJet 320 TX, is a simple and effective way to easily upkeep and maintain your printer, eliminating headaches, down time and service bills!

The WetCap function just one of many features that make the FreeJet 320 TX a superior direct to garment printer.
